Terms of Service

1. Platform Nature
This platform operates solely as an online marketplace that connects customers with independent hairstylists for in-home hair services. The platform does not itself provide hairdressing, beauty, or personal care services.
All hairstylists listed on the platform are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or representatives of the platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use this platform. By using the platform, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
3. In-Home Service Risks
You acknowledge and understand that in-home services inherently involve risks, including but not limited to:
- Entering or allowing entry into a private residence
- Interaction with individuals you do not personally know
- Risk of personal injury, harassment, theft, property damage, or disputes
These risks cannot be completely eliminated, even with reasonable precautions.
4. Assumption of Risk
By using the platform, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with in-home services, whether known or unknown, and agree that such risks are an inherent part of the service arrangement.
5. Limitation of Platform Responsibility
The platform is not responsible for:
- The conduct, behavior, or actions of any customer or hairstylist
- The quality, outcome, or safety of services provided
- Any personal injury, property damage, loss, or dispute arising during or after a service
The platform does not supervise, direct, or control the actual services provided.
6. Independent Contractor Status
Hairstylists are independent contractors and are solely responsible for:
- Their own safety and conduct
- Compliance with applicable laws and licensing requirements
- Obtaining any necessary insurance
Nothing in this agreement creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship.
7. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service
A hairstylist may immediately refuse or terminate a service if they reasonably feel unsafe or encounter harassment, inappropriate behavior, or illegal activity. Such termination shall not constitute a breach of contract.
8. User Obligations
Users agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Maintain a safe and respectful environment
- Refrain from harassment, abuse, or illegal conduct
- Comply with all platform safety rules
The platform reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations.
9. Waiver and Release
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release and hold harmless the platform from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising out of or related to in-home services, except where caused by the platform’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.
10. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the platform’s total liability exceed the amount of platform service fees paid by the user for the relevant transaction.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service.
